After graduating from Industrial Engineering Department, Fatih Alkan received his masters degree in 2008 from Maltepe University, Business Department. Alkan has been taking photographs since 2009. He currently works in the industrial products design sector in Istanbul. Alkan opened his first solo show "A Short Film About Penn" in 2013 at x-ist. He also took place in thea group show "A Supplementary Universe to This One" (x-ist, 2014) in 2014 at x-ist and  Contemporary Istanbul 12 & 13Art Fair 12, 13 & 14.
